THE
ROCK CLIMBING PROFESSIONALS! |
| At The Rock
Adventure Centre, we take pride in our rock climbing courses and
high-quality instruction.
Our
outdoor programs are run by our senior Rock Instructors who are
trained and qualified and have years of climbing and outdoor
experience. With vast knowledge of local climbing areas, we
will help you select the climbing site most suitable for your groups
needs.
The Rock's climbing programs are
simply the safest and most comprehensive rock climbing programs
around! On all of our courses you will learn safety,
technique, equipment and gear identification, belaying, abseiling,
basic knots and other various skills.
Our outdoor rock climbing and abseiling sessions are available to
individuals, groups, schools, and corporations. |

LOCAL CLIMBING AREAS |
| Within a short drive of
both Geelong and Melbourne are a surprising number of good rock
climbing areas. |

|
|
THE YOU YANGS |
| The You Yangs are
located about 60km (30 minutes) from Melbourne or 22km (15 minutes)
from Geelong. The Park offers a
huge variety of relatively short cliffs that are excellent for both
instruction and development of rock climbing technique. Some
cliffs are predominantly suitable for abseiling, others are more
suitable to rock climbing.
The You Yangs offer quick
and easy access to climbing sites and so maximises the amount of
time available for climbing! This is especially useful when
your time is limited, such as school groups.
Facilities provided in the park include
toilets, gas barbeques and visitors centre.

|
STAUGHTON VALE |
| The Staughton Vale
climbing site is located within The Brisbane Ranges National Park,
about 80km west of Melbourne and about 30km north of Geelong.
Staughton Vale offers easy access,
lengthy climbs and good abseiling.
|
| WERRIBEE
GORGE |
| Werribee Gorge State
Park is located about 65km west of Melbourne.
It is a longer walk into this site so
more suited to those with more time to spare... The climbing here
makes it well worth the effort.
